The lands of Asolo DOCG.

|

The Asolo Prosecco area is found within the province of Treviso, on the high hillsides just south of the Dolomites. This land boasts truly heroic viticulture. The vineyards sit on steep hillsides and provide very limited yields. Even today, the grapes are harvested exclusively by hand, and only the finest grapes are selected. In addition to Glera, other native varieties are grown here, including Bianchetta Trevigiana, Verdiso, Perera and Glera Lunga, vines that our farming culture has kept alive thanks to traditions and working methods handed down through the generations.

Asolo, a refuge for artists.

To describe his favourite pastime in this thousand-year-old Veneto village, the poet Robert Browning coined the term “asolare” i.e. “Asoloing” – the simple pleasure of an aimless stroll. It’s an apt description, as the narrow streets winding through the village’s ancient architecture and traditional bars offer glimpses of breathtaking scenery and an invite to slow down and enjoy life. It’s no coincidence that many other world-famous artists have found Asolo to be the perfect setting in which to gain inspiration.
