La Gioiosa et Amorosa – Joyous and Seductive: an expression that conveys the desire to enjoy every moment to the full, and one used by poets and writers to describe the Marca Trevigiana – The Province of Treviso – our land. Our wine expresses celebration, beauty, friendship and family, and good times spent in great company. Our wine is Treviso, it is Valdobbiadene, it is Asolo, it is Cartizze – it’s the home of Prosecco. Our wine is Italy, the Italy that’s enjoyed the world over.
Our story starts back in the 1920s when the grandfather of the current president Giancarlo Moretti Polegato, purchased some vineyards in the Treviso hills, in the heart of the area producing the best wines. Then the twentieth century brought with it new generations and new avenues of development. We take Prosecco beyond national borders and contribute to its global success.
We add to our vineyards and estates, global demand increases ever more. Our wines gain recognition in Europe and further afield. Today, we are one of Italy’s main wineries and a business with a significant global reach. 60% of our production goes to markets in over 110 countries.

Here, in addition to the Glera vines we use to make Prosecco, we have rows of Cabernet Sauvignon and several other varieties. Our estate also boasts a Vineyard Gym – a fitness training circuit set amid the rows of vines in a beautiful natural setting and free for all sports lovers to use.

This is our Nervesa della Battaglia Estate, the first to obtain Biodiversity Friend certification. From here, we have extended our commitment to fully sustainable winemaking to the rest of our vineyards. And it is here that our vision of viticulture conducted in complete harmony with pre-existing habitats has come into being.

In this rich land, where agricultural traditions and historic settlements merge as one, many vine varieties enjoy perfect growing conditions, including Glera, Pinot Grigio, Pinot Nero and Ribolla Gialla. The unique characteristics of the terroir increase the sugar content of the grapes and enhance their aromatic notes, making them the ideal base for particularly fresh-tasting wines, with mineral notes and clear-cut aromas.
